1. 
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is hereby created in the Township.
2. 
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall advise and assist the Township by making recommendations regarding the efficient operations of the Township's Parks and Recreation Department.
3. 
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall work with the Township to review, assess and make recommendations regarding:
A. 
Parks rules and regulations;
B. 
The use of Township Parks;
C. 
Development of community programs and acquisition of sponsors and volunteers
D. 
Grant and fundraising opportunities; and
E. 
Capital projects, park development and preservation of open space.
4. 
The Committee shall keep records of its meetings and activities and shall submit periodic reports as requested by the Township Manager or the Board of Supervisors.
5. 
The Committee shall be an advisory committee and shall have no authority to set official policies for the Township nor to legally bind the Township in any manner.

1. 
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall consist of:
A. 
Five voting members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
B. 
Two voting members recommended by the Centennial School District and appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
C. 
Up to four non-voting citizen advisors appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
2. 
Duly appointed Committee members shall serve for a term of two years. Duly appointed Committee citizen advisors shall serve for a term of one year. Committee members' terms shall expire on the first Monday in January following the last of their terms of office. Duly appointed Centennial School District members shall serve until replaced by Centennial School District.
3. 
The Committee shall elect, by a majority vote of the committee, at the annual meeting in January of each year, a Chair, Secretary and such other officers as the said Committee may deem necessary. The presence at a meeting of more than half of the appointed members shall constitute a quorum of the committee. The committee shall conduct no business unless a quorum is present. Notice shall be provided to all members when a meeting has been set. Public comments shall be entertained prior to any vote of the Committee.
4. 
The Committee shall meet at least every other month.
5. 
All members of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall serve without compensation except that they may be reimbursed for expenses in connection with their duties on said Committee and as the Board of Supervisors may approve in advance.
6. 
Members may be removed by the Board of Supervisors, with or without the recommendation of a majority of the other Committee members, for malfeasance or neglect in the performance of their duties. Failure to attend either three consecutive regularly scheduled meetings or four regularly scheduled meetings during a twelve-month period shall constitute neglect. The Board of Supervisors shall appoint successors to members who resign or are removed to serve for the remaining term of the member or members.
