The purpose of this article is to authorize public servants of the Village of Laurel Hollow to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the Village of Laurel Hollow which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.
The following public servants of the Village of Laurel Hollow are hereby authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket with respect to violations of a state statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Laurel Hollow that such public servants are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A. 
Building Inspector: building, zoning and planning matters.
B. 
Code Violations Investigator: all local laws and ordinances of the Village of Laurel Hollow.

Service upon a natural person. An appearance ticket, other than one issued for a traffic infraction related to parking, must be served personally except that an appearance ticket issued for a violation of Chapters 22, 23, 64, and 145 of the Laurel Hollow Village Code may be served in any manner authorized under § 308 of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules.
B. 
Service upon other than a natural person. An appearance ticket, other than one issued for a traffic infraction related to parking, must be served pursuant to the applicable provisions of Article 3 of the New York Civil Practice Law.
