Any person aggrieved by a decision of the Code Enforcement Officer may appeal to the Zoning Board of Appeals within 45 days and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 102, Zoning, Division 4, Appeals and Variances. The Zoning Board of Appeals has the authority to interpret the provisions of this chapter which are called into question and to grant an administrative appeal or to grant a variance from the required number and size of signs as described in this chapter when a literal enforcement of the provisions of this chapter would result in undue hardship as defined by 30-A M.R.S.A. § 4363.3.
Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals or by an order rendered by the Zoning Board of Appeals to remove a sign may appeal said decisions to the Superior Court. The appeal shall be filed within 30 days after the decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
