A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain any cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, hogs, goats, roosters or similar animal within the Borough limits.
B. 
An exception to the prohibition of pigs in the Borough is as follows:
(1) 
A miniature potbelly pig, also known as "Asian potbelly," "Vietnamese potbelly" and "Chinese potbelly," not to exceed 150 pounds in weight or 22 inches in height shall be permitted within the Borough limits. For purposes of this exception, the quantity customarily maintained shall not exceed one per household.
(2) 
If the miniature potbelly pig exceeds the weight and height limitations set forth in Subsection B(1), it must be removed from the Borough immediately.
(3) 
The limitation on the number of potbellied pigs allowed per household and the size of the pig is based on the noise, odor and concern for the sanitary living conditions of the animal and to allow for the proper disposal of the waste products of the animals.
A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain any roosters within the Borough limits.
B. 
Chickens and other similar fowl must be kept within an enclosed pen or coop.
C. 
Chicken coops and similar structures must be kept in a clean and sanitary manner as determined by the Code Official.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this article, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before a Magisterial District Judge in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this article continues or each section of this article which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.
