"Alcoholic beverage"
includes alcohol, spirits, liquor, wine, beer and every liquid or solid containing alcohol, spirits, wine, beer and which contains one-half of one percent or more of alcohol by volume and which is fit for beverage purposes either alone or when diluted, mixed or combined with other substances.

A. 
It is unlawful for any person to consume an alcoholic beverage, or possess an open container of alcoholic beverage on any of the streets, sidewalks, alleys, parking lots, including private parking lots held open for public use, in any of the following areas indicated on the official zoning map of the city:
1. 
Central commercial zone;
2. 
General commercial zone;
3. 
Heavy commercial zone;
4. 
Light industrial zone;
5. 
Neighborhood commercial zone;
6. 
Limited commercial zone.
B. 
Any of the prohibitions set forth in this section shall not apply to any residential properties located within the nonresidential zones.
C. 
This section shall not apply to public parks where consumption of alcohol is regulated pursuant to Section 12.20.260.

Any person who knowingly or wilfully violates any of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
