A. 
The Township Clerk shall:
(1) 
Prepare the agenda for each meeting of the Township Committee, under the direction of the Chairman of the Township Committee.
(2) 
Provide secretarial and clerical services for the Township Committee in the discharge of its official duties.
(3) 
Perform all of the functions required of municipal clerks by the Federal Election Law (Title 19 of the Revised Statutes) and any other state law.
B. 
Whenever the Township Committee has taken any action requiring any act or forbearance by any official or employee of the Township or affecting the administration of the functions, duties or powers of any such officer or employee, it shall be the duty of the Township Clerk to communicate officially the action of the Township Committee to the person affected and to retain the matter on the agenda of the Township Committee for such further disposition as may be required.
C. 
The Clerk shall keep the minutes and records of the proceedings of the Township Committee, and he shall preserve and compile all ordinances and resolutions or true copies thereof.
D. 
The Clerk shall be the depositary and custodian of all official surety bonds furnished by or on account of any Township official or employee, except his own bond. The latter shall be placed in the custody of the Township Solicitor. He shall also be the depositary and custodian of all insurance policies, deeds, leases and contract documents to which the Township Committee may be a party.
