As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
OBSCENE MATERIAL
Any photograph, object, film, videotape or other physical material or any live performance or display of persons or animals or inanimate objects, which, according to the decisions of the United States Supreme Court, and the Courts of the State of New Jersey, constitute obscenity.
It shall be unlawful to sell, offer for sale, attempt to receive compensation for, possess with intent to distribute or display or make available to the public, in Deerfield Township, any obscene material as defined in this chapter.
A. 
Violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed 30 days.
B. 
Each separate sale, transaction, distribution, demonstration or display or possession with intent to distribute obscene material shall constitute a separate offense under this chapter.
