The following part-time and seasonal positions are hereby created for the Township of Lacey:
A. 
Recreation aide.
B. 
Beach patrol person.
C. 
Supervisors of Beach Patrol.
D. 
Supervisors of recreation aides.
E. 
Assistant Supervisors of Beach Patrol.
F. 
Assistant Supervisors of recreation aides.
G. 
Driver.
The duties of those individuals set forth in § 79-101 shall be to generally supervise and maintain the beach and recreation areas in the Township of Lacey so as to provide for the general health and welfare of those individuals utilizing said facilities. The specific duties of those individuals set forth in § 79-101 shall be as set by the Township Committee and implemented by the Recreation Director. The hours of employment of said individuals shall be set by the Township Committee, and said positions are deemed to be part-time seasonal employment.
A. 
Supervisors of Beach Patrol or Supervisors of recreation aides. To be appointed to the position of Supervisor of Beach Patrol or Supervisor of Recreation Aides, an individual shall have been employed by the Township of Lacey as an Assistant Supervisor of Recreation Aides or an Assistant Supervisor of Beach Patrol for a minimum of three years and shall be 19 years or older. Said individual shall be a mature and responsible person who is capable of providing adequate supervision for those employees working under him or her. In addition, said individual shall be able to read and write the English language and be capable of following and implementing the rules and regulations which the Township Committee establishes for the use of the Township beaches and recreational areas.
B. 
Assistant Supervisors of Beach Patrol and Assistant Supervisors of recreation aides. To be appointed to the position of Assistant Supervisor of Beach Patrol or Assistant Supervisor of Recreation Aides, an individual shall have been employed by the Township of Lacey as a recreation aide or a Beach Patrol person for a minimum of two years and shall be 18 years of age or older. Said individual shall be a mature and responsible person who is capable of providing adequate supervision for those employees working under him or her. In addition, said individual shall be able to read and write the English language and be capable of following and implementing the rules and regulations which the Township Committee establishes for the use of the Township beaches and recreational areas.
C. 
Recreation aide and Beach Patrol person. To be appointed to the position of recreation aide or Beach Patrol person, an individual shall be 16 years of age or older. Said individual shall be able to read and write the English language and be capable of following and implementing the rules and regulations which the Township Committee establishes for the use of the Township beaches and recreational areas.
D. 
Driver. To be appointed to the position of driver, an individual shall be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License. Said individual shall be able to read and write the English language and be capable of adhering to and following all rules and regulations as established by the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles and the Township Committee for the Township of Lacey.
The salaries for those individuals set forth in § 79-101 shall be determined from time to time by the Township Committee and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the Township of Lacey.[1]
