There is hereby created the position of Recycling Program Aide for the Township of Lacey.
Under direction, the Recycling Program Aide shall assist in the provision of information to the public about the community recycling program and do other related duties as required.
To be appointed to the position of Recycling Program Aide, an individual must meet the following requirements:
A. 
Possession of a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
B. 
Knowledge of recycling programs after a period of training.
C. 
Ability to interact with people over the phone and in person.
D. 
Ability to understand regulations concerning recycling programs.
E. 
Ability to prepare correspondence and reports.
F. 
Ability to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office or related units.
G. 
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.
H. 
Persons with mental or physical disabilities are eligible as long as they can perform the essential functions of the job after reasonable accommodation is made to their known limitations. If the accommodation cannot be made because it would cause the employer undue hardship, such persons may not be eligible.
The salary for the Recycling Program Aide shall be determined from time to time by the Township Committee and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the Township of Lacey.[1]
