[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Lacey
5-17-1974 as Ch. 67 of the 1974 Code; amended in its entirety at time of adoption
of Code 7-11-1996 by Ord. No. 96-36 (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).
Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
All fishing and/or crabbing on township-owned property located at the
north or south municipal docks or fishing and/or crabbing on boats docked
at the north or south dock or on any other municipal property where it is
posted "No Fishing or Crabbing" is hereby prohibited.
Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of
not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.), by imprisonment for a term not
to exceed ninety (90) days and/or by a period of community service not to
exceed ninety (90) days, in the discretion of the Judge. The continuation
of such violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense,
and the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation
may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
