For any and every violation of the provisions
of this chapter, the owner, developer, contractor, lessee, tenant
or any other person having an interest in any building or premises
where such violation has been committed or shall exist, and who neglects
or refuses to abate said violation within five days after written
notice has been served upon him by personal service or by certified
mail, shall, for each and every violation, be subject to a fine of
not more than $500 or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90
days, or both, in the discretion of the court before whom a conviction
is had. Each and every day that such violation continues after such
notice shall be considered a separate and specific violation of this
chapter.
