[Adopted 3-11-1977 by L.L. No. 2-1977]
[Amended 4-22-2008 by L.L. No. 3-2008]
The Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of Southampton (hereinafter referred to as the Town Trustees) maintain a parking area in the Village of Southampton known as the Lake Agawam parking area (such parking area being bounded on the north by the southerly line of the waters of Lake Agawam). The Town Trustees have designated the Lake Agawam parking area as a parking-by-permit area (requiring a parking permit issued by the Town Trustees) and have requested that the Village assist in enforcing such restriction by enacting a Village Code provision which can be enforced by the Village. The Village Board of Trustees finds that such assistance and enforcement will benefit inhabitants of the Town (including inhabitants of the Village).
[Amended 4-22-2008 by L.L. No. 3-2008]
During the period from May 15 through September 15 of each year, no person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in or upon the Lake Agawam parking area unless there shall be displayed on said motor vehicle a valid parking permit issued by the Town Trustees.
[Amended 4-22-2008 by L.L. No. 3-2008]
