No person shall, except in necessary defense of person or property, fire or discharge any gun or other firearm, including BB guns and pellet guns, within the Borough of Middletown.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof before the District Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
