No person shall use, operate or ride upon any public sidewalk or public street in the Business District of the Village of Oxford on any skateboard, in-line skates or any other device rolling on wheels which cannot be guided or steered and stopped by the operator by means of suitable steering and braking controls, with the exception of the following designated route solely for the purpose of passage through the Business District.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUSINESS DISTRICT
A. 
LaFayette Park.
B. 
Main Street to the western intersection with Main Street for 100 yards.

North Canal Street, north of the intersection with Main Street for 100 yards.

D. 
South Washington Avenue, south from the intersection with State Street for 100 yards.

E. 
North Washington Avenue, north from the intersection with State Street for 25 yards.

State Street, west from the intersection with North and South Washington Avenues for 25 yards.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be liable to a fine of not more than $250 or to imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
