All parks, fields and playgrounds owned by the
Village are for the exclusive use of Village residents and their guests,
except that a nonresident may utilize a park as a member of an organized
activity sponsored or sanctioned by the Board of Trustees. Unless
different hours are otherwise posted by order of the Board of Trustees,
all parks, fields and playgrounds owned by the Village of New Hyde
Park shall officially be closed from one hour after sunset to 1/2
hour before sunrise. No person shall be permitted to enter, pass through,
gather in, sleep in, loiter, congregate or otherwise remain in any
part of any part, field or playground during the aforesaid curfew
period or remain therein at any time after having been directed to
leave by a police officer. The above provisions shall not apply to
any activity specifically authorized by the Board of Trustees to be
conducted during said periods.

The bringing upon or the drinking of liquor,
beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages in any park, field or playground
is hereby prohibited.

A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is hereby declared to be unlawful and a petty offense. Each such offense is hereby designated a violation as defined in Article IIA of Chapter 1 of the Village Code, and every such violation shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of Subsections B and F of § 1-27 of that article.
