The title of this chapter shall be "Rules and Regulations Governing Municipal Boards in the Town of New Windsor."
The Town Board of the Town of New Windsor hereby establishes the following rules that will be applicable to all municipal boards that are established in the Town of New Windsor.
All members of the Town municipal boards shall be appropriately dressed and shall maintain a professional appearance during all scheduled meetings of the board. This rule does not apply to field trips.
All members of the Town municipal boards must attend all scheduled board meetings or adjournments thereof unless the member is excused by the chairman or a member acting as the chairman of such board. In the event that the chairman cannot attend a meeting, he or she must contact the Supervisor or a Town Board member to be excused. In the event that any member of any board fails to attend three meetings in any year, this failure to attend shall be grounds for dismissal of the member by the Town Board.
Each member of any municipal board shall be familiar with the terms of Chapter 25, Ethics, Code of, of the Code of the Town of New Windsor and acknowledges that by acceptance of a position with said board he or she is fully familiar with the terms and conditions of the Code of Ethics of the Town of New Windsor.
In the event that a member of a municipal board demonstrates conduct that is unbecoming or unsuitable to the position held by said board member, said board member shall be given notice of said conduct. In the event of a reoccurrence of the unsuitable conduct, said board member may be removed by a majority vote of the Town Board.
