[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Sandyston 4-6-1989 by Ord. No. 3-89. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby established a Department of Finance in the Township of Sandyston.
The financial business of the Township of Sandyston shall be committed to said Department which shall be headed and administered by the Chief Financial Officer of the Township of Sandyston.
A. 
The Chief Financial Officer must meet all requirements of P.L. 1988, c. 110,[1] and shall carry out the responsibilities set forth under N.J.S.A. 52:27BB-26 et seq.

B. 
The Chief Financial Officer, in addition to serving as Director of Finance, shall also serve as the Treasurer of the Township of Sandyston.
C. 
The Chief Financial Officer shall receive such compensation as may be established in the Salary and Wage Ordinance.[2]

A refund of property taxes pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:4-3.32 shall be granted, provided that the applicant submits a complete application to the Tax Assessor as required by N.J.S.A. 54:4-3.30. The refund of taxes may be granted retroactively only to the date that the complete application was submitted to the Tax Assessor.
