Pursuant to the provisions of the Parking Authority Law of the State
of New Jersey (P.L. 1948, c. 198, as amended, N.J.S.A. 40:11A-1 et seq.),
there is hereby created a public body corporate and politic and a political
subdivision of the state under the name and to be known as the "Parking Authority
of the City of Long Branch."
The Parking Authority of the City of Long Branch hereby created is a
parking authority as contemplated and provided for by said Parking Authority
Law and shall have and exercise all of the powers and perform all of the duties
provided by said Parking Authority Law and any other statutes heretofore or
hereafter enacted or applicable thereto.
It is hereby expressly provided that no real property shall be acquired
by the Parking Authority of the City of Long Branch by the power of eminent
domain without the consent of the governing body of the city.
The Parking Authority of the City of Long Branch shall not undertake
any activity which is inconsistent with any adopted Redevelopment Plan of
the city or ordinance or design standard incorporating or implementing such
Plan.
A copy of this chapter, duly certified by the City Clerk of the City
of Long Branch, shall forthwith be filed by said City Clerk with the Clerk
of the County of Monmouth.
