[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Cheltenham 12-29-1977 by Ord. No. 1431 as Ch. 14, Art. VI of the Cheltenham Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
From and after the adoption of this chapter, every quarry situate within the Township of Cheltenham shall be completely surrounded by a fence or wall not less than six (6) feet in height, which shall be so constructed as not to have openings, holes or gaps larger than four (4) inches in any dimension, except for doors and gates, which doors and gates shall be equipped with a self-closing and self-latching devices for keeping the doors or gates securely closed at all times when not actually in use.

Any person or legal entity violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon summary conviction before a District Justice, pay a fine of not more than six hundred dollars ($600.), together with costs of suit, collectible in the manner provided by law. Each violation after notice of an offense or service of a summons shall constitute a distinct and separate offense.
