A.
To protect the public safety in the use of Town parks, the following
rules and regulations shall apply:
(1)
No trespassing is allowed. The park is open from dawn until dusk,
unless there is written permission granted for other times by the
Georgetown Park and Recreation Commission.
(2)
No smoking is allowed.
(3)
No alcohol may be possessed or served at any time, unless written
permission by the Board of Selectmen and Police Department has been
given.
(4)
No vandalism is allowed.
(5)
No littering is allowed. Please place trash in bins provided or carry
in/carry out.
(6)
Shirt and shoes are required at all times in park areas. Clothing
is required in beach area and water.
(7)
To protect the public health and safety, only service animals are
allowed on the fields and picnic areas. In addition, leashed, nonservice
animals are allowed in parking lot areas. Pooper scooper law applies
at all times.
(8)
All picnic tables are first come, first served unless written permission
or prior reservations are authorized by the Georgetown Park and Recreation
Commission. (Please do not move the picnic tables.)
(9)
Bicycles and scooters are only allowed in parking lot and designated
bike racks.
(10)
No open fires or personal grills are allowed in either the park
or beach areas. Grills are provided along the baseball field fence.
Please use grills at your own risk and dispose of coals properly.
(11)
Exclusive park reservations for field use, athletic courts (tennis,
pickle ball, basketball, baseball, volleyball), concession stands,
picnic pavilions, playgrounds, parking lot, bathrooms, bandstand area
(concerts) and all general park areas must be reserved with advance
written permission by the Georgetown Park and Recreation Commission.

Tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, baseball fields and
picnic pavilions are first come, first served unless there is written
permission granted by the Georgetown Park and Recreation Commission.
(13)
Tennis court and pickle ball hours are 8:00 a.m. to dusk unless
written permission by the Georgetown Park and Recreation Commission.
B.
All areas of American Legion Park are under video surveillance at
all times.
C.
American Legion Park is managed by the Georgetown Park and Recreation
Commission.
A.
No lifeguard is on duty. Individuals are swiming at their own risk.
B.
Swimming permitted within roped area only.
C.
Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
D.
No running or rough play on docks or rafts.
E.
No motor boats or fishing in designated swim area.
F.
Swimming and fishing docks are designated.
G.
Do not fish in the swimming areas. Do not swim in the fishing area.
H.
Fishing is allowed off of the designated fishing dock only, to the
far right of the beach.
I.
No motorized boat launching or docking allowed in beach area.
J.
No floats, balls or frisbees in swim area.
K.
Clothing is required at all times.
L.
Only service animals are allowed on the beach and in the water.
M.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the beach sand.
N.
Please do not feed the geese.
