[The salaries and compensation of the various officers and employees
of the Borough of Madison are as provided in Ord. No. 550,
adopted January 22, 1951, entitled "An Ordinance Creating Certain Positions
of Employment, Abolishing Other Positions of Employment and Changing the Designations
or Titles of Various Existing Positions in the Borough of Madison, New Jersey,
and Fixing the Minimum and Maximum Rates of Compensation for All Offices and
Positions of Employment Established by Said Borough," as amended from time
to time. The specific compensation figure for each officer and employee is
designated annually by resolution of the Borough Council within the ranges
established by Ord. No. 550, as amended. Reference to the
"annual Salary Ordinance" in various chapters of this Code is understood to
mean the current provisions of Ord. No. 550, as amended.
Copies of the current salary and compensation provisions established by Ord.
No. 550, as amended, are on file in the office of the Borough Clerk
where they are available for public inspection during regular office hours.]
