No person, firm, association or corporation shall engage in any transient retail business within the Township of Lower Merion without having first obtained a license from the Township Secretary as hereinafter provided.
Upon application made in a form prescribed by the Police Committee of the Board of Commissioners, and upon payment of the license fee hereinafter prescribed, the Township Secretary shall issue a license for a period of 30 days, subject to renewal, to any person, firm, association or corporation to engage in any transient retail business. Such license may be renewed for a period of 30 days by application in the same manner to the Township Secretary and upon payment of the license fee hereinafter prescribed for each thirty-day period. Each such license shall set forth such conditions as shall be prescribed by the Police Committee for the conduct of such business and may be revoked by order of said Police Committee at any time if there shall have been committed any breach of such conditions or of any of them; and in the event of such revocation of any such license, no portion of the license fee paid therefor shall be refunded.

The license fee to be paid under this chapter shall be as set forth in the Township Schedule of Fees, as adopted and amended from time to time by the Board of Commissioners.[1]

Any person, firm, association or corporation engaged in any transient retail business within the Township of Lower Merion without having first obtained a license therefor, issued in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, shall forfeit and pay a fine or penalty of $600 for each and every offense, to be collected before any District Justice as like fines or penalties are now collectible by law.
