There is hereby created the position of Ordinance Enforcement Officer.
One or more persons may be appointed by the Board of Commissioners of
the Township of Wilkins as Ordinance Enforcement Officer, and the compensation
and emoluments for such office shall be established by resolution or motion
of the Board of Commissioners.
It shall be the duty of the Ordinance Enforcement Officer to enforce
all ordinances of the Township of Wilkins, and, for this purpose, the Officer
shall inspect the lands, buildings, structures, roads, streams and any other
areas and activities within the township which are subject to regulation by
any ordinance or the First Class Township Code;[1] the Officer shall inspect public work projects when so directed
by the Township Manager and shall, when qualified, act as rodent control officer.

The Ordinance Enforcement Officer shall have the power to issue orders
for abatement of violations of any ordinance and to issue citations against
those persons, corporations, associations or other legal entities found to
be in violation of any ordinance, said citations to be issued in accordance
with applicable law.
