[Adopted 6-2-1969]
It is the intention of the Board of Supervisors of Buchanan County, Virginia, to create an Authority under the provisions of the Virginia Water and Sewer Authorities Act, as amended, (Chapter 28, Title 15, §§ 15.1-1239 through 15.1-1270, inclusive, of the Code of Virginia, as amended) for the purpose of providing any or all of the utilities and services authorized by said Act and for the purpose of exercising the powers conferred by said Act in relation to the foregoing.
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority are as follows.[1]

which immediately followed the Articles of Incorporation, was superseded 8-11-1988.
The Articles of Incorporation shall be executed on behalf of the Board
of Supervisors of Buchanan County, Virginia, by the Chairman of the Board,
and the Seal of the Board shall be affixed thereto and attested by the Clerk
of said Board, and such officers are hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to do all things necessary and appropriate to cause said Authority to be created
under the provisions of the Virginia Water and Sewer Authorities Act.[1]
