The purpose of these regulations is to establish uniform provisions for benefits applicable to all full-time, permanent Village employees.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BENEFITS
Paid vacation, sick leave, personal time, bereavement longevity, and membership in the employee health insurance program and retirement system. Benefits shall be available to all full-time, permanent Village employees.
PERMANENT FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE
Any employee who has completed a three-month trial basis and is employed on a regular basis by the week which shall consist of a workweek of 35 hours to 40 hours as designated.
PERMANENT PART-TIME EMPLOYEE
Any employee who has completed a three-month trial basis and is employed on regular basis by the week, which shall consist of a workweek of up to and Including 20 hours per week.
VILLAGE EMPLOYEE
Includes all employees of the Village of Rhinebeck except elected officials, seasonal or temporary employees or employees whose compensation is fixed and paid on a daily basis.
YEARS OF SERVICE
Uninterrupted years of continual employment.

The workweek of 35 hours will be prorated, as collective bargaining agreement is based on a workweek of 40 hours.
Prorated to 3.5 hours per pay period for workweeks of 35 hours.
