A.
Powerboats using Cranberry Lake shall not exceed a
speed limit of 35 miles per hour, except that powerboat speed shall
not exceed five miles per hour in the following locations and circumstances:
(1)
Before sunrise and after sunset.
(2)
In the following areas:
(a)
Between the southerly boundary of the property upon
which is situate the Cranberry Lake Community Club Clubhouse and extending
northward therefrom to the northerly end of Cranberry Lake, including
all of Laurel Cove.
(b)
Within Cabin Springs Cove, between Rose's Beach and
Rock Island.
(c)
Within Weaver House Cove, as delimited by the New
Jersey Marine Police marker buoys, as the same may from time to time
be located.
(3)
Within 100 feet of any shoreline, wharf, pier, bridge
structure, abutment, dock or floating platform of any kind.
B.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, any powerboat creating
a wake at a speed of five miles per hour, which wake may constitute
a hazard to the safety of any other person, property or boat at such
speed of five miles per hour, shall reduce its speed to such speed
less than five miles per hour as may be necessary to ensure that no
such hazardous wake is created.
Any person swimming or using a raft, tube or
similar device shall have a boat escort when such person is more than
75 feet from the nearest shoreline, except that this regulation shall
not apply to areas wherein powerboat speed is limited to five miles
per hour.
Waterskiing on Cranberry Lake shall be conducted
in a counterclockwise direction only.
All rules and regulations of the New Jersey
Boating Regulation Commission regulating the safety and operation
of powerboats, as the same may be from time to time amended, are hereby
adopted and incorporated herein by reference as though set forth herein
at length.
