There is hereby created the position of Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator for the Borough of Lavallette.
A. 
The position of Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall be a part-time position.
B. 
The Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall be appointed by the governing body and shall serve for a term of one year, commencing on January 1 of the year of appointment and ending on December 31 of that year or until a successor has been appointed and qualified.
To be appointed to the position of Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator for the Borough of Lavallette, an individual must possess the following qualifications:
A. 
Experience or training in the ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Council) field.
B. 
Experience in coordinating and managing programs in a related field.
C. 
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in the English language sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
D. 
Possess good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects which would prevent the individual from performing the duties of the position.
The Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall be responsible for assisting in the planning, promotion, development and supervision of the Municipal Alliance Program as delineated in Article II, § 4-8.
The salary for the part-time position of the Assistant to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall be determined from time to time by the governing body and shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Salary Ordinance[1] of the Borough of Lavallette. Said position shall also be funded by a grant from the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
