The following provisions shall constitute the code governing the future installation of wires, fixtures and electrical apparatus in all buildings in the Borough of Lavallette, New Jersey.

All electrical work shall conform to the rules and regulations of the Electrical Subcode of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
The location of all electric meters will be given by the Borough Superintendent.

No current will be supplied by the Borough of Lavallette until the terms of this article are complied with and a certificate and approval has been furnished by the Borough of Lavallette Construction Inspection Department.
All new installations of electrical meters shall be on the outside of buildings, except replacement of inside meters.

All oil or gas burners shall have a separate and clearly marked master switch installed in a visible position near a building exit.
Any person, firm or corporation that shall be convicted of a violation of a provision of this article shall, upon conviction whereof by any court authorized by law to hear and determine the matter, be subject to a fine of no less than $100 and no more than $1,000, imprisonment not to exceed 90 days or community service of not more than 90 days, or any combination of fine, imprisonment and community service, as such court in its discretion may impose. Each day that such violation exists shall constitute a separate offense.
