[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Lavallette. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 through 40A:11-12, the
Borough of Lavallette is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with
the Borough of Seaside Park and the Borough of Seaside Heights for the purchase
equipment, work, materials and supplies.
The Mayor of the Borough of Lavallette is hereby authorized and empowered
to execute, on behalf of the Borough of Lavallette, all such agreements as
be required to administer this chapter.
The contracting unit entering into the contracts on behalf of the Borough
of Lavallette shall be responsible for complying with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et
seq. and any and all applicable provisions of the New Jersey statutes.
Nothing contained in this chapter or any agreement shall require the
Borough to make any purchase or obligation, nor prevent any party from awarding
contracts of purchase on its own behalf, for the same equipment, work, materials
and supplies as provided in the joint purchasing agreement.
