The following departments, boards and commissions have been established in the Borough of Mendham. Compensation of the various personnel on such boards and commissions shall be set forth from time to time by ordinance and/or resolution adopted by the governing body of the Borough of Mendham.
A. 
Board of Health (N.J.S.A. 26:3-6).[1] A Board of Health has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The Board is composed of five members, each of whom shall serve for a term of three years.

B. 
Planning Board (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-23). A Planning Board has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The composition of the Board and the terms of members are as provided in Chapter 215 hereof.
C. 
Zoning Board of Adjustment. A Zoning Board of Adjustment has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The membership, organization and powers of the Board are as provided in Article III of Chapter 124.
D. 
Local Assistance Board (N.J.S.A. 44:8-107 et seq.). A Local Assistance Board has been established in the Borough of Mendham to assist needy persons in the Borough. Rules governing the membership and administration of the Local Assistance Board shall be as provided in N.J.S.A. 44:8-115 et seq.

E. 
Fire Department. A Fire Department has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The officers of the Department are a Chief, Deputy Chief, and Assistant Chief, and such additional command staff and subordinate company-grade officers (Captains and Lieutenants) as the Chief may appoint to ensure the orderly organization of the Department and succession of command. The organization and operation of the Department are as provided for in Chapter 20 of this Code.

F. 
Police Department. A Police Department has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The composition and official membership of the Department are as provided in Chapter 38 of this Code.
G. 
Public Works Department. A Public Works Department has been established in the Borough of Mendham. There shall be a Superintendent of Public Works in charge of said Department, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Council. Other provisions concerning the Public Works Department are as provided for in Chapter 42 of this Code.
H. 
Water Reclamation Department. A Water Reclamation Department has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The composition of the Department is as provided for in Chapter 50 of this Code."[2]

I. 
Environmental Commission. An Environmental Commission has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The Commission is composed of seven members and two alternate members. The terms, appointments and duties are as provided for in Chapter 15 of this Code.

J. 
Shade Tree Advisory Committee. A Shade Tree Advisory Committee has been established and created in the Borough of Mendham. The composition of the Committee and the terms of the members are as provided for in Chapter 54 of this Code.
K. 
Recreation Committee. There shall be a Recreation Committee in the Borough of Mendham, which shall consist of members who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council. The Recreation Committee shall plan, promote and organize a recreational program within the Borough and administer the same in the interest of the entire community. The Committee shall act as an advisory agent to the Borough Council on all recreational matters.
L. 
Bureau of Fire Prevention. A Bureau of Fire Prevention has been established in the Borough of Mendham. The Fire Marshal shall be in charge of the Fire Bureau. The Fire Marshal's appointment shall be subject to confirmation by the Council of the Borough and shall be for a period of one year.[3]

M. 
There shall be a Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator and Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, to serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council, pursuant to N.J.S.A. App. A:9-40.1.
