Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:3-9, there shall henceforth be established in the Township of Middle a Board of Health composed pursuant to the terms of N.J.S.A. 26:3-3.

The Board of Health shall consist of five members to be appointed by the Township Committee. Each member shall be a resident of the Township of Middle.

The terms of the initial members of the Board of Health shall be as follows: one member for one year, two members for two years and two members for three years. Thereafter, each reappointee or new appointee shall serve a term of three years.

Members of the Board of Health shall be compensated in such amounts as may from time to time be fixed by the Township Committee by ordinance.
The Board of Health may appoint a Secretary. Said Secretary shall be compensated as provided by ordinance by the Township Committee.
The Board of Health shall have all powers provided by law.
