Township of Middle, NJ Chapter 173 Mailboxes, Destruction of

§ 173-1 Destruction prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to cause damage of any kind to any mailbox situated within the confines of the Township of Middle.

§ 173-2 Applicability to property owner.

Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to prohibit any homeowner from removing his own mailbox.

§ 173-3 Penalties.

Any person or entity found guilty of a violation of this chapter shall be subject to a fine as follows:

First offense: Not less than $400 nor more than $1,000;   Second offense: Not less than $700 nor more than $1,000;   Third and each subsequent offense: One thousand dollars and/or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days and/or community service for a term not to exceed 180 days.
