The police officers employed by the Borough of Churchill shall exercise
jurisdiction as employees of the Borough of Churchill as follows:
A.
In the geographical area within the territorial limits
of the Borough of Churchill.
B.
In the geographical area within the territorial limits
of any municipality now or in the future having executed a written mutual
aid agreement with the Borough of Churchill.
C.
In any municipality where the police officer is in hot
pursuit of any person for any offense which was committed or which he has
probable cause to believe was committed within the Borough of Churchill, and
for which offense the officer continues in fresh pursuit of the person after
the commission of the offense.
D.
Where the officer has been requested to aid or assist
any local, state or federal enforcement officer within the Borough of Churchill
or otherwise has probable cause to believe that the other officer is in need
of aid or assistance.
E.
Throughout Allegheny County when the police officer is
acting pursuant to an order issued by a District Justice whose district is
located within the judicial district encompassing the Borough of Churchill
or where the police officer is otherwise acting pursuant to the requirements
of the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure or where the officer is on official
business for the Borough of Churchill and views an offense or has probable
cause to believe an offense has been committed, which offense is a felony
or a misdemeanor, breach of peace or other act, which presents an immediate,
clear and present danger to persons or property.
F.
Throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when the
police officer has obtained the prior written consent of the Borough Council
and the Mayor to enter another jurisdiction for the purpose of conducting
official duties which arise from official matters within the Borough of Churchill.
