The President and Secretary of the Borough of Churchill in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania are authorized to execute and deliver to the Secretary of
Labor and Industry of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the state agency charged
with the administration of 65 P.S. § 201, the plan and agreement
required under the provisions of 65 P.S. § 206 and the Social Security
Act, to extend coverage to the employees and officers of this borough and
to do all other things necessary to that end.
The proper officers of this borough, are hereby authorized to make all
required payments into the contribution fund established by 65 P.S. § 207
to establish such system of payroll deduction from salaries of officers and
employees as may be necessary to their coverage under said Old Age and Survivors
Insurance System.
The Council of the Borough of Churchill are hereby authorized to appropriate
from the proper fund or funds of said borough the amounts necessary to pay
into the contribution fund as provided in 65 P.S. § 204
and in accordance with the plan or plans and agreement.
The proper officials of the Borough of Churchill shall do all things
in accordance with the provisions contained in the plan and agreement necessary
to the continued implementation of said Old Age and Survivors Insurance System.
The Borough of Churchill shall become a participant in the social security
system, and that such participation shall commence as of January 1, 1952.
