The action of the Fire and Police Committee of Council in establishing the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department be and the same is hereby ratified and approved by Council.
The bylaws governing the operation of said Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department so prepared and submitted to Council be and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the official bylaws of the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department.
The Fire Chief of the Edgewood Fire Department be and he is hereby granted and invested with complete power and authority over the control and movement of vehicular traffic, and the conduct of all persons in the vicinity of any fire in the said Borough to which the fire apparatus of said Edgewood Fire Department has been summoned, or at which said fire apparatus is in service. Said Fire Chief is hereby authorized to exclude from the vicinity of any such fire all persons whatsoever, and to take such steps as he may deem proper, to prevent persons from interfering with the functions of the said Edgewood Fire Department while on duty.

The Borough police of the Borough of Edgewood are hereby authorized and directed to assist said Fire Chief in the carrying out of the foregoing authority and they are authorized and empowered to take such action as may be requested of them from time to time by said Fire Chief in order to protect the said Edgewood Fire Department from interference in the conduct of its duties at such fire. To that end any person or persons refusing to comply with any lawful order or regulation adopted by the Fire Chief as aforesaid shall be taken into custody by said Borough police and, upon conviction of such offense, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.

Council of the Borough of Edgewood recognize and by this resolution does recognize the Edgewood Firemen's Relief Association and hereby approves the same as now constituted, and the Borough of Edgewood hereby appropriates and directs the Borough Treasurer to pay to the treasurer of said Relief Association all moneys received from the State as foreign fire insurance tax and all further sums so as aforesaid received from time to time shall be likewise paid over without further action on the part of the Borough authorities.
