[Adopted as Ch. III, Part 1, Secs. 1, 2 and
3, of the 1972 Code]
No person shall knowingly or negligently permit
any dog or other animal in his ownership, possession or control to
commit any nuisance:
A.Â
Upon any sidewalk in the Borough; or
B.Â
In a park or other place frequented by the public;
or
C.Â
Upon the floors or stairways of any building used
in common by the occupants; or
D.Â
Upon the outside walls or stairways of any building
abutting on a public street or park; or
E.Â
Upon any lot or open ground being part of the premises
on which a dwelling is situated.
Nothing in this article shall prohibit a person
from using the public streets to curb a dog or other animal.

Any person violating any provision of this article
shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment
of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
