This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance of Latrobe."
This chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority delegated to municipalities under the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as reenacted and amended)[1] and to promote good planning practice.

These regulations are adopted for the following reasons and purposes:
A. 
To provide minimum uniform procedures and standards that will ensure the equitable processing and approving of land development plans.
B. 
To enable the Planning Commission to carry out its assigned function of coordinating the growth processes within the community.
C. 
To ensure an integrated development of the community in an efficient and orderly manner in conformity with the Comprehensive Plan for Latrobe.
D. 
To provide for an orderly expansion and extension of community services and facilities at minimum cost and maximum convenience.
E. 
To promote the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Latrobe.
