This chapter shall hereafter be known as the "Abandoned Vehicle Law
of the Village of Penn Yan."
The purpose of this chapter is to implement the provisions of § 1224
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York with respect to vehicles
abandoned within the geographical limits of the Village of Penn Yan, Yates
County, New York.
This chapter is enacted pursuant to the provisions of § 1224
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and Article 20 of
the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
The Village of Penn Yan is authorized by the enactment hereof to implement
the pertinent provisions of § 1224 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law
of the State of New York with respect to vehicles abandoned within the geographical
limits of the Village of Penn Yan, Yates County, State of New York. This authorization
shall extend to any amendments thereto, and/or successor legislation dealing
with such abandoned vehicles.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary
of State of the State of New York subsequent to having been duly adopted by
the Board of Trustees of the Village of Penn Yan.
