A. 
N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.1 authorizes the governing bodies of two or more municipalities to enter into an agreement with each other for municipal police aid in case of emergency. The Township Committee of this Township believes that it would be in the best interests of the residents of the Township for the Township to enter into such an agreement with other nearby municipalities.
B. 
Proposed agreements have been prepared between this Township and each of the following municipalities: High Bridge Borough, Califon Borough, Tewksbury Township, Washington Township (Morris County), Mansfield Township, Washington Township (Warren County), Washington Borough, Glen Gardner Borough, Bethlehem Township, Union Township, Town of Clinton and Clinton Township; providing for such mutual aid; and the Township Committee of this Township desires to enter into such agreements.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.1, this Township enters into the form of agreement annexed to and made part of this article reciprocal to this one and are willing to, and do, enter such mutual aid agreement.[1]

The Mayor and Township Clerk be, and they hereby are authorized and directed, to execute said agreement(s) on behalf of this Township.
This article shall take effect immediately after publication following final passage in accordance with law and shall apply to each of the nearby municipalities hereinbefore stated who adopt an ordinance reciprocal to this article and enter the said mutual aid agreement with this Township.

A. 
N.J.S.A. 40A:14-156.1 allows municipalities to enter into agreements with each other for mutual police or fire aid in case of emergency.
B. 
The Township of Lebanon is desirous to enter into such agreements with other municipalities for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Township of Lebanon.
The Township of Lebanon Township Committee hereby authorizes the Mayor and Township Clerk to enter into mutual aid fire-fighting agreements with other municipalities.
Such agreements shall be in the form attached hereto as "Attachment A."[1]
