[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Norwood as Sec. 3-15 of the Revised General Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 5:8-31 and 5:8-58, operating and conducting of the games of chance known as "bingo" and as "raffles" shall be authorized during the hours of midnight to 2:45 a.m. on Sunday of each and every week. The authorization provided hereby for the holding, operating and conducting of such games of chance known as "bingo" and as "raffles" on Sunday shall be strictly limited to the hours between midnight and 2:45 a.m. and shall not be construed to permit the holding, operating and conducting of such game at any other hour on Sunday.
The games of chance known as "bingo" and as "raffles" shall not be conducted on Sunday under any license issued by the borough, unless the license specifically so provides.

The Borough Clerk will serve as the issuing authority who, in accordance with the Borough's ordinances and all state statutes and regulations, will act on the applications of qualified applicants seeking the Borough's approval of licenses to conduct bingo and/or raffle games in the Borough. Applicants seeking licenses to conduct bingo and/or raffle games must file applications with the Borough Clerk on forms provided by the Borough Clerk.
