Editor's Note: This local law provided that it shall take
effect on January 2, 2010, subject to acceptance and filing by the
Secretary of State.
A real property tax exemption is hereby granted to qualifying
members of the Amityville Fire Department pursuant to § 466-c
of the Real Property Tax Law. Said exemption shall be 10% of the assessed
valuation of qualifying property owned by such members, as assessed
by the Village Assessor. An application on a form prescribed by said
Assessor shall be filed by such qualifying members prior to the taxable
status date for each year said exemption is requested.
