[Adopted 9-10-1970 by L.L. No. 3-1970]
The term of office of the Town Superintendent of Highways in the Town of Chester elected at the election in November 1971 and of all Superintendents of Highways in the Town of Chester elected thereafter shall be four years.
This article shall not take effect unless and until it shall have been submitted to the electors of the Town of Chester at a general election and have received a majority of all the votes cast for and against it at such election, and such article shall be submitted to the electors of the Town of Chester at the general election to be held on the third day of November 1970.
Upon approval by the people, the article shall take effect immediately upon filing in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law.[1]
