As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
An area located within the Town of Pawling and designated
by resolution of the Town Board as a place where garbage or rubbish,
or both, may be deposited.
The permit fee for individuals shall be as set
by resolution of the Town Board.[1]

Individuals should display their permit (sticker)
on the rear passenger-side window. It is unlawful to display on the
front window.
The hours and days for the operation of the
transfer station are available from the Town Clerk's office.

A.
No transfer station permit shall be issued to an individual who is
not a taxpayer or resident of 1) the Town of Pawling, as evidenced
by a tax bill, utility bill, deed or lease agreement, or 2) the Pawling
Central School District, as evidenced by a tax bill, utility bill
or lease agreement.
B.
No transfer station permit shall be transferred to or placed upon
a vehicle not listed as the vehicle designated for such permit use.
C.
No transfer station permit may be used for or by an individual who
is not a taxpayer or resident within the Town of Pawling or within
the Pawling Central School District.
D.
No transfer station permit may be used by a resident or taxpayer of the Town of Pawling or the Pawling Central School District unless it is properly displayed upon and affixed to the designated vehicle pursuant to § 191-3.
E.
Any resident or taxpayer of the Town of Pawling may bring metal to
the transfer station without having a permit to use the transfer station.
