[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Springville 3-4-1996 as L.L. No. 2-1996. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Upon the effective date hereof, the Village of Springville shall cease to be an assessing unit, and village taxes shall hereafter be levied on a copy of the part of the Town of Concord assessment roll that is applicable to real property located in the Village of Springville, with the taxable status date of the Town of Concord controlling for village purposes, pursuant to § 1402, Subdivision 3, of the Real Property Tax Law.
The position of Assessor in the Village of Springville is hereby abolished.
The Board of Assessment Review in the Village of Springville is hereby abolished.
Within 10 days of the adoption of this chapter, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Springville shall forward a copy of this chapter to the State Board of Real Property Services.
Within five days of the date that this chapter takes effect, the Board of Trustees shall file a copy of this chapter with the Clerk and Assessor of the Town of Concord and at the same time with the State Board of Real Property Services.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State; provided, however, that this chapter is subject to a permissive referendum, and the Village Clerk shall forthwith proceed to notice such fact and conduct such referendum if required by petition.[1]
