As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Any pistol, rifle, shotgun or similar weapon, and is not limited to that term as now defined in the Uniform Firearms Act.[1]
HUNTING
The act or conduct of pursuing and taking of wild animals or birds by the use of shotgun, rifle, air gun, pellet gun, pistol, firearm, bow and arrow, or any other weapon or device capable of discharging bullets, pellets, missiles or shafts.
TRAPPING
The taking of wild game or animals by the use of traps, snares, or enclosures designed to restrain or contain wild game or animals.

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in hunting or trapping within the territorial limits of the Borough of Dravosburg with or without the open display of a hunting license, and such conduct is declared to be a public nuisance.
It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm within the territorial limits of the Borough except in justifiable defense of life or property. This section shall not apply to duly appointed law enforcement officers, or to members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, while acting on official orders.
Any person who shall violate this chapter shall, upon summary conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $300, together with costs of prosecution, and, in default of such payment, to undergo imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day such conduct persists shall constitute a separate offense.
