No person shall in any manner, directly or indirectly, manufacture, sell, exchange, dispose of or give away or keep for sale any cigarettes or cigarette papers or wrappers without first obtaining a license from the Village Clerk-Treasurer in the manner provided in § 134.65, Wis. Stats.
The annual license fee for such license will be established each year by the Village Board. Payment of such fee shall be made at the time of application for the license.
All cigarette licenses shall be signed by the Village Clerk-Treasurer and shall indicate thereon the name of the licensee and the place where he is authorized to conduct the licensed business. Every license shall be issued on July 1 in each year, or thereafter whenever applied for, and shall continue in force from the date of issuance until the succeeding June 30, unless sooner revoked by the Village Board.
The penalty for violation of any provision of this chapter shall be the penalties set forth in § 1-4 of the Municipal Code for each violation plus costs of prosecution. Each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
