For the purposes of this chapter, the following
definitions shall apply:
Any portable device, including carriage, transport, pushcart,
wagon, or vehicle used for the transportation of goods.
Food, beverages and merchandise of every nature.
All public streets, sidewalks and ways in the Town and public
parks owned by the Town.
To sell, display or offer goods for sale. Vend shall not
include the transportation or delivery of goods already sold or to
be sold on private property. "Vend" shall include vending machines.

Except as may be expressly authorized by a permit
issued by The Commissioners of St. Michaels, it shall be illegal for
any person to vend goods on Town-owned property.

Each violation of this chapter shall constitute a municipal infraction and shall be punishable by a fine of $100, according to the procedures established by Chapter 33, Municipal Infractions. Each transaction in violation of the provision of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
