The Borough finds that it is in the public interest and the policy of the State of New Jersey to foster and to promote, by all reasonable means, the relief from pollution of waters in or bordering the state and to reduce, and ultimately abate, the menace to the public health resulting from such pollution.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Sewerage Authorities Law, N.J.S.A. 40:14A-1 et seq., the Township of Neptune Sewerage Authority, a public body corporate and politic, is hereby established as the Sewerage Authority for the Borough of Bradley Beach in accordance with the terms of the agreement entered into between the Borough of Bradley Beach with the Township of Neptune, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association of the United Methodist Church, the Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea, the Borough of Neptune City and the Township of Neptune Sewerage Authority. A copy of the agreement, as adopted by the Borough of Bradley Beach on February 13, 1973, as has been and as may be hereafter amended, is attached hereto by reference as if fully reproduced herein.
The Township of Neptune Sewerage Authority shall have and may exercise, within the territorial boundaries of the Borough, all or any part of the powers provided for and conferred upon sewerage authorities by the Sewerage Authorities Law, as modified by its agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the Borough.
