No person over the age of 18 who has been convicted of a violation of any crime against minors as listed in N.J.S.A. 2C:7-2, and who as a result of said conviction is required to register with the proper authorities pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:7-1 et seq., "Registration and Notification of Release of Certain Offenders," shall be permitted to reside within 1,000 feet of any public or private primary and/or secondary school or educational facility, park, playground, child-care/day-care facility, religious institution, bowling alley or the Bradley Beach Recreation Building and grounds within the Borough of Bradley Beach.
A person who resides within any prohibited area established pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall have 60 days from the effective date of this chapter, or upon the termination of any residential lease entered into prior to the effective date of this chapter and the term of which is not longer than six months, whichever is latter, to relocate outside the prohibited area. Failure to move to a location which is in compliance with this section within that time period shall constitute a violation of this section.
Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable by one or more of the penalties, including a fine not exceeding $1,250, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days; and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days.
