[Adopted 12-17-1990 as Sec. 2-6 of the 1990 Code]
A Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for a term of one year from January 1 in the year in which he is appointed.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall perform the following duties:
A. 
Serve as Zoning Enforcement Officer and enforce the provisions of Chapter 300, Zoning and Use, of the Code of the Town of Boonton.
B. 
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Administrator or the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall report to and shall be under the control and direction of the Administrator, subject, however, to the ultimate control and direction of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
